Sept 30 2020 marked the official opening and dedication of Pleasant Valley Wetland Heritage Park to Dr. Mary Thomas, with Secwepemc elder Ethel Thomas leading the opening Secwepemc prayer and Bonnie Thomas, youngest daughter of Mary, speaking the dedication.

The ceremony celebrated the completion of an Edible Trees Forest Garden  made possible by a grant from Tree Canada and through the tireless planting effort by volunteers from the Armstrong Spallumcheen Trails Society.

Spring Tree Planting

A group of volunteers from the Armstrong Spallumcheen Trails Society assisted with planting a number of native trees and shrubs including Cottonwood, Paper Birch and Hazelnut.
