A single tree produces 260 lbs. of oxygen per year and absorbs 48 lbs. of carbon dioxide per year
The Switzmalph Cultural Society’s sister organization – BC Small Wetlands Association – is planting 7,000 native trees as part of a reforestation project in the Shuswap and north Okanagan. You can be part of this initiative by adopting a one or two gallon tree to take home or to be planted at Pleasant Valley Wetland Heritage Park in Spallumcheen. Alternative tree pick up points in the Shuswap and north Okanagan will be available in the fall of 2022 .
